In Excellent Condition! This antique relic was customized by Rock Guitarist Randy Young to use on stage. Randy kept the integrity of the original by adding perfectly proportioned Chrome Schaller tuning keys, A Badass Bridge & 2 Powerful Vintage 1963 Gibson Patented Applied For pickups taken from a 1963 Gibson Les Paul. Randy had the holes left by the old bridge filled with abalone round position markers, nice touch. This Gibson SG features that famous percussive pick attack. Listen to any Black Sabbath album where Tony Iommi used his 1964 Gibson SG you we hear the unique pick attack this guitar delivers. Carlos Santana used this model guitar on "Black Magic Woman" where you will hear the sweet tone & Amazing Sustain this Iconic Guitar produces. This one of a kind Gibson SG in excellent condition features a set in neck, the original 2 volume, 2 tone controls & wiring. Like Tony Iommi's famous 1964 Gibson SG Special this 1964 Gibson SG has a professionally applied Gloss Finish on the fretboard enhancing fast playing, preserving the rose wood. Everything else is factory original, including the finish, electronics, pots, Gibson 3 way toggle switch & knobs. This pre-owned Tony Iommi style John Birch SG Special was Custom Built in 2007 By John Birch Guitars in England. Cherry Red color. It has Powerful John Birch Magnum 2 Humbucking pickups. They provide the tone Tony Iommi got from his JB SGS guitar but with more output. This custom guitar features a 24 fret ebony fingerboard with a fast high gloss finish, the type of finish Tony Iommi required on his famous Black John Birch SG Guitar. It has 11 Mother Of Pearl Cross inlays. The guitar is kept in Mint Condition. No scratches dings or nics. MINT! The Stainless Steel trim adds to this guitars unique Iommi tone. The pickguard has been polished to a mirror like shine since these photos were taken. The guitar is made from English BroadLeaf Maple. Since the 70's a custom Yngwie Malmsteen Pickup was added in the neck position, a powerful Seymour Duncan Hot Rails stacked humbucker in the rear. The middle rhythm pickup & original Fender Tremolo system are all stock. Now you can get that Blackmore, Malmsteen sound through Marshall's with out any buzz or feedback squeal from the pickups. This Stratocaster has the Fender factory gloss lacquer maple fingerboard that has ambered through the years. This 1972 Stratocaster plays great, with it's very thin neck up at the nut.
